Accelerated Reality

Philosophy, Art and Passion
Have you ever had a chance to open a bottle of extremely
expensive old  wine? Do you  remember how pleasant and
rewarding it felt? How dignified and even proud you felt,
especially if you had to work hard to deserve such a privilege.
On the same note, have you ever seen a dog who has just
found a big marrow bone? You probably have noticed how
vigorously he guards the bone, how strongly he holds on to it,
how carefully he bites it, how passionately breaks it,  and how
    thoroughly sucks it dry…
What motivates the dog, what does the dog get out of it?
Pretty much nothing…except for a drop of bone marrow. The drop,
which for the dog is sweeter than anything else, since it is the
perfect food that nature has created.     Just like that dog one has
to be insightful and fearless in battles to appreciate the victory
    and rewards.
While my philosophy is purely theoretical, my brother has a little
more practical approach.

...Yes, the spirals are
photographs too.
They came from the
same image: the shot
of burning fire you
see here ....

For the longest time I was convinced that the
essence of photography is to show the moment as it
appeared at the time of the shot. But being the real
girl that I am, I have since changed my opinion.
I now think that manipulated image is a better
expression of the photographer's vision.
Composition is a key, and the true colors are not
important.
Here are some examples of what I call
Accelerated Reality.
Two motivating powers: Love and Fear. Some fear    to love, others just love their
fears. Falling in love, for instance, is quite scary, what if your heart gets broken?
Fear controls you, limits you. Fear would never help you to move a mountain. Love
would, though. Fear is possessive, love is liberating. Paradox: fear feels more
comfortable. Not the cozy kind of comfortable, yet so many of us prefer to hide
under the fear covers. It makes us feel less vulnerable. Love, on contrary, makes us
feel exposed. Love forces us to be open. What a scary feeling….
Behind every action there is either love or fear. Do you want to get a pat? Took me
10 years to decide. I love cats, but would not get one out of fear of not being
responsible enough. Also, what if she starts eating my plants, and scratching my
furniture?
Well, love won this one…
